Top Five Films with a Strong Female Lead

We still have a long way to go when it comes to casting female action heroines. However, we are making steady progress, check out this list below.

1 Kill Bil Vol 1 (2003) Uma Thurman stars in this epic action film. Awoken from a coma, her ex lover Bill played by David Carradine, makes an attempt to kill her on her wedding day (talk about twisted.) Filled with rage, she is determined to seek revenge with all who contributed to the loss of her unborn child. With a hit list this angry Bride sets off on her quest. Released 17th October 2003 and directed by Quentin Tarantino this film is one to revisit.

2. Hunger Games (2008)
The Hunger Games trilogy is excellent,  and in 2008 we witnessed the first of its kind.
The Hunger Games novels are written  by American writer Suzanne Collins.  In the voice of Katniss Everdeen, a young teenager who lives in the future, post-apocalyptic nation of Panem in North America. Katnis shows courage and strength and its great to watch.

3. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)

Based on the most successful video game character in history, Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) is a strong heroine. This woman has no fear, and she is on a quest  to save the world. Released 6th July 2001 in the UK, Simon West Directs this movie receiving  274.7 MILLION USD!

4. Lucy (2014)
Accidentally stuck in a bizarre dark deal, the tables begin to turn. Her captors transforms into a warrior that evolves beyond human logic. This film is a little crazy check it out on Netflix.

 5. Wonder Woman (2017)
This film is long overdue. It really is worth watching. Check out my review and catch it in cinemas now. Diana princess of the Amazons, raised on an isolated island, is convinced she has to stop the war. She discovers her true destiny, fighting alongside men to end all wars.
