Top 6 Classic Christmas Films

Check out some of these epic Classic Christmas Movies.  This year Christmas is on a Sunday the perfect day to just chill! In no particular order:

1. Home Alone 

Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Culkin)  is left home alone. He becomes the man of the house over night and has to survive over the Christmas period. Left behind when his family rushes off on a Christmas holiday he must defend his home from the neighbourhood crooks at all costs. 

 Directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes this beloved classic is a #CiCiMustSee holiday film for the whole family to enjoy.



2. The Muppet Christmas Carol

This movie is a little underappreciated, however here at #CiCiMustSee
we can appreciate a little bit of the Muppets. The music by Paul Williams and the Dickens framework is purely magical. Michael Caine’s  Scrooge is simply classic. Surrounded by a bunch of fuzzy, felt puppets. Caine plays it straight as the grumpy Ebenezer Scrooge, an old chap who could care less about Christmas and the joys of the season.

3. A Christmas Story 

 Jean Shepherd  brings us this Christmas holiday movie which follows the youngster Ralphie Parker (Peter Billingsley), who spends the majority of his time hiding from bullies and dreaming of his ideal Christmas presents.

4. Love Actually 

Love and relationships is explored in this flick. With an all star cast Love Actually shows us true love which connects all nine people and their stories together. Starring Hugh Grant and Martine McCutcheon this film will make you say “Awwww”

5. The Polar Express

When a boy who doesn’t believe in Santa, heads on a train to the north pole he discovers something he never knew. This film is a great watch during Christmas, its an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. Starring  Tom Hanks director Robert Zemeckis this movie has some great visuals (for its time) and will definitely get you in the Christmas mood.

6. Gremlins 

Is this film even really for kids? As a child, this film was very terrifying, but as all of you are all grown up now you should be fine. Some say its entertaining. Some hate it. If you haven’t watch it, well you must. Gremlins is filled with mischief around the Christmas period and it’s one of those crazy films that appear around Christmas time.
