12 years a Slave

This heartfelt movie of abduction and cruelty, showing a man destroyed and broken, depicting some of the hurt and pain that caused destruction on a generation of people. Twelve years a slave studies a black man from the United States upstate New York. He becomes abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty by an evil slave owner, portrayed by Michael Fassbender, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive but to retain his dignity. In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon’s chances of meeting with a Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt) will forever alter his life.

This film is a must-see. Some may find it difficult to watch, but it is sure to tug at your emotions.This accurate and fantastic story will grip you. It’s a part of history people prefer to ignore, but if you want to open your mind and heart, this film is one to watch.
